Gayle Curry is one of Oklahoma’s celebrated fine artists and advocate for the arts. Her fine art was commissioned in 2011 for display at Samis Education Center in the OU Complex and has shown at the State Capitol and the IAO Gallery and was accepted into the 2013 Leadership Arts Program. As a board member of the Paseo Arts Association, she volunteers her time in developing strategies to further the artistic community in Oklahoma City. Gayle’s art can be found at Kasum Contemporary Fine Art in the Plaza District. She is also a member of the International Encaustic Artists, Individual Artist of Oklahoma, Oklahoma Visual Artists Coalition, and volunteers at the Oklahoma Art Guild. Gayle also owns and operates the “Paseo School of Art”, where she teaches encaustic painting and also provides a variety of workshops by other teaching artists. She is currently the 2016 Skirvin-Hilton Artist in Residence.
