Wyoming here I come!

Circles of Tree Encaustic Painting

I can’t believe I leave next Sunday to go to this amazing Art Residency! I am 100% funded because of all of you wonderful people. I’m so blessed and touched that you would do this for me. Thank you.

So I’ve spent this week making a list, organizing supplies, packing, and taking care of all those things you take care of before you leave town. I’m so excited and can’t wait to start this new adventure. If you don’t know, I will drive there and try to fit everything in my car. If you know me, I’m a bit of an over-packer, so it will be interesting to see if it all fits. Pictures to come!

If you are not following me on my social media, I will post regularly through them all. That in itself is a daunting task! So select your poison and stay tuned for the next chapter!

I need your help!

As you know, my passion is the arts, and in my working studio and school (Paseo School of Art), I ardently pursue teaching and creating. I am working on a new project, a large encaustic, mixed media installation. A requirement to take on a project of this size is to have the time, resources, and support. Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts provides this support by awarding me an Art Residency near Saratoga, WY.

This entails a month-long residency where they provide the accommodations, food, and studio space to work. This residency starts August 10 and goes through September 4, and I need your help.

I’ve started a Kickstarter Campaign to help fund some of the cost. This would allow me to purchase art supplies to help fund the travel and a portion of my food and living expenses. I have less than 30 days to fund it, so I would appreciate you looking at my project and supporting me in any way you can. I have some pretty cool giveaways, so help a girl with her dream. Be a backer!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Last week, I announced my Kickstarter campaign and was already over 50% funded! Wow! I want to send a great big Thank You to all my Funders below. I can’t tell you enough how much it means to me to have friends, family, acquaintances, and even strangers willing to give money to see me succeed. You are all amazing people. Saying “Thank You” seems so small, but here it is again: Thank You!

Even though I am 50% funded, I still need your help to get to 100%. With Kickstarter, it’s an all-or-nothing campaign. If I don’t achieve my goal, I don’t get any pledges. So, if you’ve been waiting to donate, please go ahead and do so; it’s better to make my goal early than to get there late.

Wild West Wyoming Arts Residency

I have been accepted into the Brush Creek Arts Residency program in Sarasota, WY. This residency is a great opportunity to further my art career, painting, and artistic skills.

Brush Creek Arts Foundation is providing one of these supports. This entails a month-long residency where they provide accommodations, some meals, and studio space to work on my project. To help offset some of the cost and fund travel and supplies, I have started a Kickstarter Campaign. I would appreciate it if you would look at it and hopefully help fund it.
